They, the hypocrites, totally blinded by racism and ignorance went to Jamaica to preach to the "natives" that Jamaicans should "repent of their evil ways," but in truth and in fact they could not discern that they are the ones that need repentance and forgiveness of their sins.

Little did they know that they were taking coal to Newcastle...

God was with the child, and like Jesus on the mountain, he overcame the evil tempter, Satan in disguise, who tried to trap him in his words...<span style="font-size: 20pt"><span style="font-style: italic">glory!!</span></span>...

That<span style="font-weight: bold"> devil </span>will never forget this little chap for as long as he draws God's breath.

The little fellow is truly one of our unsung heroes, <span style="font-weight: bold">a true Ambassador for Jamaica, in his own right</span> .

The child's innocence is what prevented him from taking offence. We who know betta, do betta. That grown [censored]-steering man was trying to look 'big' at the expense of the child. He was, as brit says, going to use this child as an example of the 'natives' who don't know the word. But instead the child showed that he was not untaught. And because the interviewer's ploy fell through, he <span style="font-style: italic">tried</span> to bring the child down by asking the child about ganja. He was actually getting insistent that the child must be partaking of the weed.

And you wonder why some of us are angry???

This is why we're to safe-guard our young. Cause dem innocent an tek tings at face value, dem most time cyaa recognize wolf who dress up like sheep.

That's why when I saw that other vid of the rasta dem a run whe dah same so-called christian yah, mi neva feel feem.

Dem shouldan bus im head.

No one said the child was humiliated. What was said was that the evangelist attempted to humiliate the child. Yes, the child held his own

As adults we are offended because we saw in that video a child being taken advantaged of. As an adult who happens to be Jamaican, I was outraged that an ignorant visitor posed such an awful question to a child that could have been me or a friend running around Linstead a few years ago (I grew up in Kingston but you see my point?). On top of that, the person posed as a "preacher" and the little boy was innocently showing respect to a) a man of God, b) a foreigner, c) an adult.

So yeah, I'm angry

You on the other hand don't seem to be a responsible adults to make such a flawed observation----

Really? The man in the background that is ranting and raving seemed childish and the child acted more mature. But...carrying on like a madman might seem rational to some. Perhaps the child was intimidated...it is hard to tell what he was even saying with the bullhorn blaring.

Perhaps my "flawed observation" comes from never talking down to children. I believe that they undestand more than some give them credit for.

What bothers me is the fact that they saw fit to post their video on you tube. What was the purpose? What did they gain by it? They behaved badly by trying to shout over the man who was himself acting badly. They did more harm than good and if you yourself know a little about the bible they are admonished NOT to do that.

Perhaps they are of the mistaken belief that they can force strangers to believe in Christ. It cannot happen.

The dumb preacher is very lucky.
If that boy's father sow him, he and his bullhorn would have landed in another planet.

EXACTLY...the boy behaved as he should have and the "interviewer" saw fit to post for the world to see what a jerk he, the interviewer, was. As an evangelist he is a failure and he should not try to be one as it is absolutely futile for him. There is absolutely no rational reason for that group to be carrying a camera.

No American can bring Christ to Jamaicans is correct. No mother nor father nor aunt nor preacher can do that either. It is when the individual opens their heart that that happens. That is why I am dismayed that the adults acted so poorly but I was delighted to hear the boy speak. Yes, he stood out as the ONLY bright spot in the video.

What I was trying to convey is the fact that the little fellow in his interaction <span style="font-weight: bold">refuted all the (negative) stereotypes about Jamaica and Jamaicans on a whole</span>...even if that was the furthest thing from his mind.

The video[s] served many purposes; and we could argue about them for a very long time...I will try to answer your earlier question about:"<span style="font-weight: bold">I have to wonder...why is it that the child was so patient and was not offended while many adults are? Could there be a lesson in that?</span>"..I would venture to say that one reason for his cool demeanor is/was due to the fact that he is a little "gentleman." He has not been accustomed to or exposed to the trickery and deceit that this man and his type obviously operate by; therefore he trusted the <span style="font-weight: bold">pseudo-evangelist</span>; and "went along" with the interview.

Another reason could be, this pseudo-evangelist, himself being in need of "Redemption," Almighty God designed it that he be "converted" by this child instead, through his actions...."out of evil, cometh good."

eta..."could be"...I don't know...

I don't think the "Rastas" as they called them, were ranting and raving like mad men...they were trying to shout over the bullhorn, jeer and run outtah town [dismiss] the other false prophet...if you really ask me, I think they acted rather mildly, considering the fact that some people would resort to physical violence when "their" religion is debased and mocked...so we could say it was a "tit for tat."

If you look further on U-tube, this same group had to have police escort on more than one occasion in Washington DC and was even physically assaulted by their "fellow American."..btw it was "their Word" that condemned them, not the "Word of God" that they purport to teach....there is a difference.

that's ridiculous. there are like a gazillion sister churches, international christian gatherings, and all of that. gospel exchanges, visiting preachers, and everything. christian tourism is huge and very well received.

pretty much anywhere. take a walk around NYC and you will see far worse being 'preached.'

that being said this is the year 2010. This kind of horse mierde needs to end whether it is on 7th ave and 34th st or any street corner.

it's no wonder some people believe in the devil, these kind of preachers almost make the case for the rebel angel's universal influence as an actual valid explanation rather than brain washing idiocy, else how could they even come to exist and so pervert themselves like this.

I would have liked to have seen the young man's father or brother come along and knock the snot out of them.

not sure if I even want to spend the time with the second vid as these things tend to upset me exponentially, and people so convicted of their belief are incredibly saddening.

clearly the guy thought he was setting up the kid and was going to get the proof of his assumptions out of that little kid, the whole thing was a set up, I mean why film it, if not to set up himself as superior and possessing of the 'truth.' that's the way these fanaticals work.

Just wanted to say I concur wid di paawt bout our children. Another "good" out of all this is it serves as reminder how we need to keep a closer eye on them...ie as to which strangers et al we allow them or NOT ALLOW THEM to interact with....the truth of the matter is, it cuddah bin worsah....
