that's ridiculous. there are like a gazillion sister churches, international christian gatherings, and all of that. gospel exchanges, visiting preachers, and everything. christian tourism is huge and very well received.

pretty much anywhere. take a walk around NYC and you will see far worse being 'preached.'

that being said this is the year 2010. This kind of horse mierde needs to end whether it is on 7th ave and 34th st or any street corner.

it's no wonder some people believe in the devil, these kind of preachers almost make the case for the rebel angel's universal influence as an actual valid explanation rather than brain washing idiocy, else how could they even come to exist and so pervert themselves like this.

I would have liked to have seen the young man's father or brother come along and knock the snot out of them.

not sure if I even want to spend the time with the second vid as these things tend to upset me exponentially, and people so convicted of their belief are incredibly saddening.

well I wish you could wave a magic wand and make irrational people become rational. but until such day, yes, they harass people young and old and you can not believe or believe as you see fit. that hardly effects reality.

but I don't think you are really getting it yet. these people were harassing *every* one.

what is the difference really from suggesting to someone that they are hell bound, a whore, a slave, or drug user. yelling at people that they are going to burn in an eternal fire in hell - to me- is pretty abusive and very harassing. it plays on fear and ignorance. that is abuse.

especially since there isn't any proof of that claim really being the case, and especially since it really makes no sense on the face of it that there is a hell and there is a God who would have to kill himself to appease himself for us to make things right and get to heaven for all time. And ironically from the next side of their mouth their god is all about love. He's doing all of this because he loves us. Well why not sprout up some grain of rice that never depletes and never needs tending. Why not send us, out of love, the cure for cancer, or restore the limbs of all the amputees over whom thousands of people pray for their restoration. So I don't think it's a far jump at all, since what this young man experienced is all part of the same exact mindset that produces this mythology in the first place. It's sadistic. It's just that you haven't pieced it all together as yet because some of it you're not uncomfortable with.

Trying to trick that young man with the ganja statements he was making is just one of the abuses the man was guilty of, if you really want to know.

it's a deep bag of tricks from which many of the so called evangelists draw.

in any case if you want to you can spend the 15 minutes or so on youtube to find out how wrong you are, &quot;open air preaching NYC&quot; would be a start off point, personally I'm not feeling it very necessary to plow through any more of these open air preaching vids.
