Lectio Divinia
Lectio Divinia is commonly known nowadays as "praying with scripture." You can Google the term for more meaning. But, for the purposes of this thread, I'd like to extend the definition further to: "Mindfully responding to words of inspiration."
So here's how this thread would work: Choose a some inspiring text from a source that has inspired you or that you think will inspire us to think a little deeper. The idea is to invite posters to read the passage, reflect on its meaning, then respond to the passage in the thread.
Rules of this exercise:
Send the passage via PM to me. This way I can line them up in order - and check for compliance
You PM should have the following:
[*]The passage should be no more than 15 words.[*]You should quote the source, web link source as far as possible.[*]You should write your own thoughts or reflections on the passage you chose.
Again, send this to me in PM and I will post.
I will start and end the discussion with "Begin New Lectio # submitted by Ja.commer" and "End of Lectio #". We will keep it all in one thread.
