Lectio Divinia is commonly known nowadays as &quot;praying with scripture.&quot; You can Google the term for more meaning. But, for the purposes of this thread, I'd like to extend the definition further to: &quot;<span style="font-weight: bold">Mindfully responding to words of inspiration.</span>&quot;

So here's how this thread would work: Choose a some inspiring text from a source that has inspired you or that you think will inspire us to think a little deeper. The idea is to invite posters to read the passage, reflect on its meaning, then respond to the passage in the thread.

<span style="font-weight: bold">Rules of this exercise</span>:

<span style="font-weight: bold"><span style="text-decoration: line-through">Send the passage via PM to me</span></span>. This way I can line them up in order - and check for compliance You PM should have the following: <ul style="list-style-type: disc">[*]The passage should be no more than 15 words.[*]You should quote the source, web link source as far as possible.[*]You should write your own thoughts or reflections on the passage you chose.[/list]

The people that I respect most,and their inspirational quotes,are all men who dont believe in a god,they are the people that I have always tend to read about and what they have to say about life.

My thought as follows:
Since we're in a fallen state we're unable to behold, look on, or comprehend any thing in its glory. However, when we're transform to incorruptible form we shall see face-to-face and behold all things in its glorious form.

My reflection:

Some experiences I have are just not clear to me now regarding what can I benefit from this why did this happen to me. But there will come a time when I will see clearly that these very experiences made me stronger and were part of a bigger picture that I am only able to see when I step back.

My reflection:

As we go through life's experiences and allow ourselves to learn from these experiences (positive and negative), then maturity and growth can allow some understanding of the 'why'.
However, we may not understand everything in this lifetime, but from the biblical pov, we will understand it better in the sweet 'by an 'by.

My reflection:

When we learn from our mistakes, and others mistakes, and apply those lessons to our daily lives, then we can truly experience life from a depth that makes you realise that life is indeed worth living. This makes me think of the saying &quot; a soh mi stay an mi cannot change'. I think anyone who believes this is missing out on life. Never too old for an examination of our lives, our ways, our thoughts, and be humble enough to change the negatives, and embrace the positives.

Examine and reflect on your life experiences. Learn from all your experiences paying particular attention to those that led to some good or revealed some truth. Then live fully and live your truth.
