Any favorite? not so favorite? nostalgic? comedic? memory/moment of your church-going days--wayyyyyy back when for some of you
?
I may have mentioned this already, but church was more of an entertainment for us kids while growing up. My siblings and I consistently entertained our parents when we got home from night services, as we mimicked everyone who was 'getting into the spirit'. My parents found it entertaining and hilarious for awhile, but they probably felt guilty and they did not allowed us to go to night services any more.
There goes our entertainment!
We also used to make bets on the hats certain people would wear!
There was one lady we called her the Seven-Stepper. We actually counted her steps. She would make 7 steps then she would dip and shout 'Alleluia', and so she continued. I had this recollection today. It was funny back then, and it's a fond/funny memory today.
Got any to share?

others that brings
about a little girl carrying her brother and saying, "he's not heavy, he's my brother." Needless to say, it long after the popular song, he ain't heavy, had been around. On one occasion the entire school finished his story in unison. He laughed at that. The headmistress was embarrassed.
