Re: why do people "die"?
Good, bad and indifferent people die as soon as they have made their contribution.
Death Is not a bad thing.
It is What happens when the body is too badly damaged That it is unable to support life.

Re: why do people "die"?
my grandmother begged to die - she was no longer the flirty tart and her body hurt
my mom just passed away
but i guess my question is more do people really die? or re-enter and does the SOUL continue to float around your being - come back as your children, grandchildren
or do we just float away to heaven - without our cell phones - only to live in the memories of the ALIVE
okay seveen go to sleep

Re: why do people "die"?
My condolences on your lost
THE CREATOR IS CREATION.
God is the only Spirit, life is spirit in action
ALPHA AND OMEGA...are the same
All life is a part of a great whole, cirlce or cycle.
The end is merely a new begining...a continuum of changes.
The cycle and re-cycle must continue.
ENERGY CANNOT BE DESTROYED....only transformed.
The spirit does not die, it is more like awakening from a dream - a shift in attention....perception.
CHANGED THE UNIVERSAL CONSTANT...we die every moment.
People die, spirit separates and the body is transformed, it is one ever present continuous process - of growth or change The child is the death of the fetus, the man of the child
Do they live on, in your DNA and memory - is the caterpillar the butterfly?
does the SOUL continue to float around your being? like magnetic filaments on a strip, emotional charged memories can be impressed upon space or place, that maybe picked up on or energized by others sharng a bond or link to the wavelength the are on.

What about the baby? litle girl/boy? teenager? who may not have contributed fully as yet, has the potential to contribute, and at their stage in life, were 'good' people?
Yeah, I get that Dr. D. I could answer my own question in the biblical sense, but in reality, the unfairness of these occurrences do not readily have a rational comforting response for most people. I guess that is the underlying point: how do we deal with the unfairness of death? In these instances, acceptance of 'what is' is is the only way to find peace. No real answers to 'why'.

Sorry to learn of your mom's passing Seveen. My condolences.
We had a discussion on the after life ( I think fortylegz prompted that thread), and I will jsut reiterate.
Each religion has their own explanation on what happens 'after death'. Some eastern religions teach on reincarnation ,in christendom and islam (I believe), heaven/paradise is taught to be the final place for the dearly departed ones etc.
I can speak from the christian belief based on what Christ says about it all, but in essence, we can only imagine what takes place after death.
What;s your inclination on what you think happen after death?
had to chuckle on the 'without our cell phones' bit.. you would really thing people would need them after death, the way they carry on as if they cannot do without cell phones/blackberries in this lifetime.

This vessel that houses our spirit (the real you) is only made to last for so long. Like current going through a wire eventually the power of the current weakens the wire and de wire/s must be replaced.
