I dont read the bible period anymore, did when I was a little kid they made me. I dont because I find too many inconsistences and also find the bible really boring read.

I have a different spin on religion....also heaven and hell. I do respect my higher being/force....also <span style="font-weight: bold">not knocking anyone beliefs.</span>

The bible is outdated,archaic,full of wickedness,murders,hatred,intolerance and prejudice,....like yourself I wouldnt read that old thing for guidance,I look for my spiritual guidance elsewhere.

i couldnt tell the last time i opened a bible. however, every now and then i'm exposed to its texts. the psalms are quite beautifully written, as are the songs of solomon.

true dat...
but it's a collection of books not a single book-- and even if a one does not subscribe to the spiritual/religious aspect of it...there are some good pieces in there on a pure reader's level...

like the book of ecclesiastes in the bible...

it's deep on a pure philosophical level...

song of solomon a love story...

sometimes i check out the books not included in the king james edition bible...like the apocrypha and the lost books of eden...

the egyptian book of coming forth by day (book of the dead) got some gems in there too...
