So Christian fasters., how do you do it? I have been on a 3 day fast....this is my third day...the not eating part is not hard...I am so busy that I do not even realize I am not eating. However, I have not gotten the chance to sit and meditate on the word. I do pray but not as vigorously as I think I should be doing. How do you fast and pray and meditate in such a hectic world?

Re: Fasting
Great question. As suggested, knowing why you are fasting is key because that is where your focus is during the period of fast. Life is hectic, but you really don't have to sit and meditate because you can mediate regardless of whatever it is that you are doing. Now, if you don't know before hand any Scriptures that speak to your situation, it will become necessary to make the time to read and meditate. However, if you already know a few, you can meditate on those even while doing laundryThe challenge is to achieve some amount of mental quietness where you are not thinking about the family, pets, life, or whatever else but where you can reflect, pray, and praise. In other words, strive for mental focus. If you can attain that, the "noise" (everything else around you) doesn't have to be that much of a distraction.
aka ChurchDude. I want that moniker back! Until then....
