Yes. In some form and at some point, we begin to make associations between things we can control and things we cant. We then attempt to find cause-effect between the observed phenomena and our behaivor.

So I believe that eventually we do end up querying the significance of things...

I'm afraid that I am not sure what &quot;querying the significance of things...&quot; actually means? When you attach that querying to trying to control things we can't by finding a link between that failure and our behavior...?

Can anyone control things they cant control by behaving properly?

It is more towards satisfying the need to be in control, than it is the fact of actually controlling. The bridge often used to cross between the two is 'faith'
