JC: There is no doubt about the connection betwen cigarettes and heart and lung disease.
Ganja has ben studied worldwide, has been used for thousands of years and I can remember one study that included old folks who smoked ganja all their lives and who lived in North Africa, India and other places around the world and they found no deleterious effects from that incessant ganja smoking.
That said, ANY particulate matter (smoke) that goes into your lungs puts those particles into your breathing apparatus and I cannot believe that can be anything but bad for you or those inhaling the smoke from your spliff. Ganja has been shown to both alleviate and exacerbate the symptoms of asthma so there is some doubt in my mind that ganja is totally beneficial in special circumstances. Some people just cannot deal with the high, get all paranoid or uncomfortable with the high and of course ganja is not for them, poor things.

Now if we get into things like hash brownies which are eaten and go through the digestive system then I'd say eat up. There is no data showing problems with that way of getting high except on that one Barney Miller TV episode where the whole police department got whacked on hash brownies by accident..
IMO kids in high school and in lower grades have no business messing with their ability to learn and REMEMBER what they've learned and should not be smoking anything. Kids just don't have any sense of what is good or bad for them and always want to try everything. Just part of growing up.

Hamburgers are food, certainly not the best thing for you or the planet but, food is a necessity and there is no food that I can think of that causes direct physical harm to people nearby.

Okay, a hot bowl of porridge thrown in your face or being too close to a pan full of cooking bacon while nude are some exceptions but if you have a MENTAL problem with a particular food that is your problem and the person eating that food that is offensive to you maybe should be more sensitive to your problem but that is not often the case nor do many consider your problem to be their problem in the case of your aversion to hamburgers.

It's comparing apples to oranges. Different problems.

A: Cigarettes cause lung and heart disease. Cigarettes are addicting. Cigarette smokers often smoke a package a day sometimes more. Cigarette addicts often smoke in their homes where children are present. I've seen pregnant women smoking and people carrying babies smoking. That second hand smoke is bad for everyone exposed to it and especially small children.


Ganjah is Good, why?

It provides an altered consciousness that many find enjoyable.
Were it possible or likely that people could or would smoke 20 spliffs a day then MAYBE it might be harmful to their bodies.

A: Yes indeed and were their lung functions already impaired it could be a problem but healthy lungs exposed to a few spliffs worth of smoke are able to cleanse themselves of that particulate matter much as healthy lungs clear out the particulate pollution to which we are exposed in cities and other areas with smog etc.

A: Absolutely. It's just not as efficient a way to get high, It takes longer for the THC to get into your system than by inhaling it into your lungs.
But then, cleaning, the ganja, breaking it up into rollable form, building the spliff and then smoking and maybe sharing it has become an enjoyable social ritual which is missed when you just eat it.

If you object to the smell of hamburger or another food cooking, you are in a tiny minority of the general population and it then becomes incumbent upon YOU to absent yourself to avoid being offended.
If you are at a friend's home and they know you object to the smell and they still insist on cooking hamburger then I guess it means that they think your objection is not reasonable enough to have them alter their eating habits.
If they SERVE you hamburger and know you don't like it they're telling you they don't like you or that your dislike is so unusual that they just don't remember not to cook or serve you hamburger.

Forget smoking in the presence of non-smokers, why not just walk up and punch them in the face if you dislike them so much that you'd inflict your addiction on them?

Smoking is beneficial to me, neither am I addicted to it, whenever i do smoke I do it to the glory of God .
Does the above bible scriptures you quoted applies to me, if what i have said about smoking is true? In other words is my smoking a sin or not?

As seen from the above quote, cooking is link to lung cancer, and as a raw foodist I do not want to be assualted by cooking fumes and smoke.
