....]unregenerate people resist God's truth because it rebukes them, like Jesus did to the Pharisees. They would rather turn to the false doctrine of false trachers, even though it is without authority and far inferior to the Gospel of Christ. ....
...as in Biblical times, the world still abounds with false teachers who claim to speak in God's name and power but do not..They are self-appointed ministers of human philosophies and traditions, obscuring God's truth and twisting His ways for their own selfish purposes. Believers need to be discerning of false prophets' evil intentions, false promises,deception, phony dreams and visions, and their unrighteous, immoral, arrogant ,even greedy lifestyles...
....unbelieving false teachers, however, don't have the spiritual resources to keep God's law even if they want to. They live only in their unredeemed humanness (flesh) and by itspower, and the flesh can't fulfil God's law. (Rom 3:20) The flesh can develop systems of external morality and conduct codes, but it cannot help people live up to them. It may talk much about God's love and humanity's need to be loving, but it can't change sinful hearts. Only the redeemed life, the life 'created in Christ Jesus for good works" (Eph 2: cf Rom &:22) can actually do good works.......
....the best religious systems, fashioned by false teachers without integrity, even incorporating certain biblical standatds, can't prevent sin and empower righteousness. That's because such an approach will never change hearts. Like what the pharisaical system produced, any false religion will doom people to hypocrisy and sham, manufacturing nothing more than outward righteousness and good works, external love and peace, while the sinful inner person remains unchanged......
