I have not visited these posts in a couple of years, I note that things have changed somewhat. A few of you sent me private messages, and I am very grateful to know that I have been in your thoughts and prayers.
It's been a difficult couple of years for me, like many I have been affected by the recession. I was laid off from my job in 2009, and even though I found work shortly thereafter, like many I am only making about 50% of what I was making before. I am grateful, but don't like this new status of doing the paycheck to paycheck thing, working harder but not seeing much fruit.
However,even in this I can testify that the Lord is good. Phil 4:11 ... Not that I speak in respect of want, for I have learned in whatsoever state I am, therewith to be content...
12. I know how to be abased, and I know how to abound, everywhere and in all things I am instructed both to be full and to be hungry, both to abound and to suffer need.
13. I can do all things through Christ which strengtheneth me.
Simply stated...."If He brings you to it, He'll get you through it". Whatever your "it" may be....Trust Him, He's Worthy.
Everything in this life has the word "temporary" stamped all over it, I'm learning afresh the real meaning of setting my affections not on the things of this world....but on the things which will reap eternal reward. I think in His refining process, the Lord is just making me a more well balanced individual, even though I have never considered myself to be a materialistic or worldly type of person.
Anyway...it's good to be back. Grace peace and love to you all
