lifting this out of the other thread, it seems clear that humanity is approaching quickly, within some of our lifetimes- a major evolutionary threshold in which man and machine- specifically computer and biotechnological advances in robotics etc., that are going to so dramatically transform our way of life, that futurist Ray Kurzweil and others are borrowing a term from physics called a Singularity.
Once this Singularity reaches, and we are Post-Singularity predictions cease as we don't really have enough information, but conjecture does not.
