No, but in its evolution, it has embraced secular elements that shifted it from its core purpose which was a common day to celebrate the birth of Christ.

yes it is but the gods are all dead. Still it is greeat fun for the little ones. and i enjoy it . the tree . the presents watching Santa on the Norad web site. cooking watching the programs. going to church. hoping there is snow.

So where did the observance of this holiday come from? What is its true origin? One of the most subtle and universal of these practices and worldly customs, honored by the whole world, including millions who do not even profess to be religious at all, is the holiday of Christmas, celebrated on December 25th, supposedly in honor of the "birthday of Christ [the Messiah]"!

But if Christmas is really a Christian holiday, then why isn't it even mentioned ONCE in the entire Bible, especially the New Testament? Why are the apostles totally silent about observance of this day? Where did it really come from, and how and when did it enter the professing Church?

What is not "of God" is "of the Devil".

Christmas is not Biblical. Christmas is not "of God". Christmas began as a pagan holiday thus Christmas is "of the devil". A clever distraction. And now it is a materialistically warped clever distraction.

Actually, the 25th of December started as a day to mark the passing of the Winter Solstice and the beginning of longer days = more daylight = more farming and greater yield/harvest. Families had not seen each other all year, so they came together for a grand meal/dinner and exchange gifts. Sounds familiar? You should know that this day was secular and had no religious significance. The pagan 'embellishments' came much later. The idea that the holiday was pagan in origin is not true; it's secular.

BTW, the 25th is off by about three days. If the calculation was what we now know it to be, we would be celebrating christmas on the the 22nd today.
