This is a hypothetical question and as such is an exercise in finding basic assumptions.

Nonchristian:
What if you found proof that God really exist.
What would you do?

Christians:
What if you found proof that God dosen't exist.
What would you do?

Why divide only among Christians and non-Christian? The globe is far more diverse and Christians do not have a monopoly on the force often called "god"

my guess is that if there is proof God exists, then religion would die away. having the person you can point to and say he/she is responsible for [whatever you like] would take away the power of mystery. it would be just like having a king or president.

the power of the belief in God lies in the unknowingness of God. what you don't see, touch can take on grand proportions in the imagination.

I'm with dahJah and jah_yout on the way you phrased the question so I'll answer it like this...

<span style="font-weight: bold">First Set of Questions:</span> I think that if there was proof positive that God exists then atheists and agnostics would likely accept it. I say this as I assume the basis for most disbelief is lack of proof. I think that most would still choose to have nothing to do with religion unless some new acceptable proof showed there was a directive from God to do so. I also think some of the prodigals would return to the comfort of their former religion, but MGee did bring up an interesting point about that.

<span style="font-weight: bold">Second Set of Questions:</span> I think that if there was proof positive that God does not exist then you'd have a variety of reactions from people of faith. Some would still continue to believe despite any proof to the contrary which seems the very essence of faith. The ones who would concern me most are those who were only behaving &quot;morally&quot; because of the fear of consequences.
