I was out on my walk last night, just over half way through and I was passing our local pizza place. As I approach I see a figure motioning to me to stop. So I take out my earbuds and ask him what he wants. He tells me that there is a special on for the next couple of hours, everyone that enters the pizza place can get a slice of free pizza and a pop (soda) fi free. So thinking it was a promotion for the pizza place I fall for it and decide to go in. So I get the pizza and pop an go sit in the corner to eat. A few seconds later the dude that met me out on the sidewalk come in and start talking to me, at first it was small talk about the weather etc.... . Then he start talking about religion and if there was a church in the area I attend. I then found out that the whole thing was a set up by a local church trying to get people to come visit next Sunday. I told him I'm not interested, so he looked disappointed and ask me why. I told him that I was not impressed by the use of ulterior motives to try get more money into the church collection plate. I pick up the rest of my pizza and pop and walked out. I just found the whole thing a little shady.
