Nephilim

Nephilim is the word used to describe the giants spoken of in biblical times by Enoch as well as the giant David fought against (Goliath). It is generally believed that most of these Giants came about when the fallen angels had union with earthly woman. Note the incredible size of the skull.

Interesting read from the link you provided. I continued to be intrigued how some people are so accepting of the idea of aliens living among us and ruling the world, so to speak, but they have much difficulty believing in God. In all fairness, earlier this week I did hear someone say that Jesus was an alien.

i'm a firm believer in coast to coast with george nory but the idea is intriguing. Diplomat - Mark - was written 60 years after the death of christ, yet there is no mention of birth from the virgin or his crucifiction. the two most important dates in the Christian calendar is the birth and crucifiction. now, if there is no mention of either of these events, did they exist?

As for Mark, no, the fact that he makes no mention of Jesus' birth or crucifixion doesn't mean the events did not happen. The rest of the gospels took care of that. Mark's primary audience was the Gentile audience in Rome and his task was to present the humanity of Jesus and his role as the suffering servant, something that audience could understand/relate to. As a result, he omitted some of the Jewish elements such as the genealogy and the crucifixion. It also explains the way that book ends.

I was so convinced that I was going to take a lime bath... then I did a google search on Giants in Greece... and discovered that Scopes.com had debunked it!

However since they found a Hobbit in Indonesia who knows ???

As for that chapter in Genesis could it not have been the inter species rivalry between various Homids in pre histroy recorded in these myths.... ie Humans who were short left africa and met neanderthals or another sub branch in Eurasia... and hunted raped and ate them...????

No, just making the point that the gospel writers had different audiences that influenced the way they wrote and their objectives.
