My Dear (Young) Sister!
I have refused your friend request because your profile picture suggests that I am interested in seeing your behind!
You are a beautiful, young Black woman. I would think that the first and foremost thing that you would want everyone to see about you is that you are more than the shape of your body (in particular your butt). Instead of profiling yourself sitting in front of a computer, or painting, or with a musical instrument, or anything at all to show that you have some cultural, classical or intellectual qualities for us to see; you are actually profiling and presenting your butt to me (and others), while you look back over your left shoulder with a smile on your face!!!!
Young sister, I know that your generation is into taking pictures of your body and presenting it as a resume` or profile of yourselves, but please understand, as a father, a brother, and a man...it is very offensive and disappointing to see you and so many of our young females thinking that showing us your ***(ets) is impressive. Actually what it suggests (to me) is that you subliminally think that you have nothing else to offer...and that is so sad.
May I suggest to you that you present yourself as someone who is worthy and capable of spiritual, intellectual, and social consideration. Now, if you want people to see your behind BEFORE they "see" (i.e., perceive, recognize, or understand) you, then leave your profile picture as it is. Just know that I will not accept you as my FB friend until you elevate your presentation because my mind and level of spiritual development simply isn't interested in seeing your body (or the shape of it).
I don't know if anyone has ever said this to you before, but I am saying this to you in love as if you were my daughter. I don't mean to insult you, but when a brother (who is serious) sees your profile he should see what you have to offer spiritually, intellectually, professionally and socially.
I hope you receive what I have said in the sincerity that I have shared it with you.
