One of the great traditions in Christianity is that of martyrdom, where the believers of Jesus died heroic deaths for their faith and the Roman Empire viciously persecuted Christianity for centuries. But this is just not true. Most of these stories are exaggerations, many downright fictional, and the Romans basically had no interest in Christianity until the rise of Emperor Constantine. We break down this factory of fables and penetrate the psychology behind martyrdom. And understand why dispelling the concept of martyrdom is so important today, as the Abrahamic religions continue to kill or die for their faith in order to gain quick access to a paradise.
