I just love seeing all of these fur kids! I can tell this is gonna be a fun place to hang out. I have always loved seeing every one else's fur kids and sometimes miss fun threads like how I never saw Tanya's Tango post for a long time and well, there is nothing like a cute critter face to start the day and now I know where to come and find one! In other words, don't be shy!

I hope that together we can help answer questions for those looking to aquire a pet so they can do so with knowledge. And be a support group for those of us who jump in with both feet and suddenly feel themselves overwhelmed when the going gets rough. I recently had a memory refresher course in that department when I took on a Standard Poodle white show dog puppy. I cannot even begin to tell you how I felt after being in dogs for decades, when I failed my breeder friend in keeping up the show coat and had to have most of it buzzed cut. It wasn't like I didn't try. I spent 20 to 30 hours a week trying to keep it up and still failed. Now instead of going to shows in June, it will be another 6 to 8 months until she grows out her coat. Stuff happens! We learn and move on.

Dog ownership is a series of highs and lows. When all goes well it's great, but just like rearing our human children there are those times...oh those times when you swear you will turn them into mincemeat for doing something wrong, and the times when they don't feel well or get hurt, and you want to do anything in your power to help them from further suffering.

And those times when you just plain want to shout to the world that your dog is the greatest and show pictures of silly moments and share when they cause us the sorrow that comes with them leaving...

This is Paris. Paris will be 1 year old on the 24th! Paris came to me in Aug and is a show dog. At the moment we are growing out her coat to the show pattern you see with the jacket and p_om-p_oms,and bracelets. In this pic Paris is wearing a puppy show trim

Paris in January getting her hair blown dry (a 5 hour job)







And I will work on getting a photo of Paris now that she is in her adult show trim beginning. She was trimmed except for her topknot, and mane, and tail p_omp_om. Yep the fluff is gone for now and the rest is banded.

Back with more pics later, time to go rest up for the jamaican sled dog team tomorrow morning!
