I'm a dog lover ..
always had dogs around ..

this is the longest i've been without a dog ..
since 2000 ..

my last dog was a Rott..
had him for 15 yrs ..
and he spent everyone of those days in the house ..
except when i took him to Alabsma to meet his parents ..
he was outsife in the shed/doghouse with the others ..
and cried all night ..

had no problems with him ..
except he ate my dog training book ..
why .. ?
i'll never know ..
no furniture or shoe chewing ..

but i traind him in obedience, guard and attack ..
no eating stuff on the streets/sidewalks/floor ..
house broken early and ..
he learned quickly ..
and was rarely a bandit ..

i would never think of putting him down ..

i never used to be a dog person. in fact i carry pepper spray for when i run and the idiot dog owners let the dogs off leash. there are signs every 200 feet saying dogs mus be leased - stoop and scoop etc.

just like how i wouldn't want some strange person jumping up on me sniffing my crotch, i don't want your dog to do it either. sheesh, people, it's not an affront to your little beast.

the attitudes of a lot of dog owners leave me stymied.


o. and i'll pepper spray the owner too.

the problem with dogs is not the dogs themselves. it's with the stupid, self absorbed, antisocial owners.

anyway, they are really nice creatures depending on their upbringing. almost like people, they are products of their environments.

that said: Woody is a great dog.



i take him to the high park zoo for him to stare at the fallow deer and sheep. he just gets beside himself. he's a herding shepherd dog.

it's the funniest thing to watch caz they all herd up in the corner farthest away from him. charming guy. he doesn't bark a lot and always follows instructions.

he's very strong but he never pulls me.
