Ok I'm a big rescuer and this is a passion of mine. Ga is now transporting unwanted and shelter animals to Conn. Conn is a no kill state. They don't euthanize. There was a segment on our local news the other day, showing over 200 dogs and cats that were transported up north to Plainfield Conn. Over 300 people were waiting out in the rain to adopt. It just makes me so happy to see these abused and abandoned animals finally get a loving home.
My BIL belongs to the Humane Society in NC and he transports a full van once a month to a puppy rescue and also up to Conn. too. North Georgia and mountain folks don't believe in spay and neuter either. Animals are just throw aways to them.
Our state is so far behind in spay and neutering pets. People don't give a damn or just too stupid to take care of their animals so they let them pro-create and then send the pups and mom's to the shelter.
Over 100,00 animals euthanized last year down here in Ga.
