Have a neighbor who had to give the little girl up. Anyone interested for the price of shipping her, or coming to get her. She has AKC papers, and won't cost you a dime over the cost of retrieving her.

In thinking about this puppy for a minute it does make me wonder where the baby came from. A responsible breeder would never let a new owner sell or give away one of their babies. Every breeder I know including myself, have a clause in their contracts that read as such...
<span style="font-style: italic">If for any reason you are unable to keep said puppy during his/her lifetime, he/whe will be returned to breeder and no refund will be given. </span>
Though we have this clause included in our contracts we will occasionally make exceptions but only after meeting with the other interested party and giving an interview. This is what responsible breeders do.
Marilyn, you might ask your neighbor to contact the breeder and maybe the baby can be re-homed through them.
Poor baby!

Next option...search out breed rescue in your area. Breed rescue's are run by responsible caring individuals who will do everything necessary to insure that the puppy is placed in a proper environment.

My girlfriend, the vet, who was helping with this called and says baby has a new home with the Pres of our local humane society who is very into scotties, so all is well.
