Primal raw food
I'm giving this a whirl on two of my kids. Sugar Pie is going on 14 and has lost interest in dry food no matter how I sugar coat it, soak it, mix it with chicken and other meaty goodies. He'll eat canned food but the protein content in canned dog food is not enough to sustain a dog on it's own. Scooter also needs to eat twice a day because his old system needs the help.
Emmit is another deal altogether. He's a tiny little shrimp dog less than half the size he should be. He needs twice a day feedings to sustain his weight and blood sugar. Emmit is also the only finicky dog I've ever had.
So what to do...
Today I got a bag of Primal raw food. I won't feed it to them raw though so I cooked it in a little water on the stove. I don't want to shock their systems so I'm mixing it with regular soaked kibble for now.
