So... last night, Flip and I were out for a nice little walk, socializing with a fine young mini collie down the road... when we got closer to our home, I thought I was seeing double as across the street was a little American Eskimo Dog -no lie!
Collar, but no tags.
We hung around the area, waiting to see if anyone was looking for the dog, or calling for him, then finally came home, with the one I called 'Nikki' following close. Called my son to meet me at the door
He couldn't believe his eyes either.
Anyhooo, Nikki was feeling his oats, and unable to resist the charms of the lovely Flip, kept trying to mount her
and wanting to mark her territory
so I finally put him in a crate (after giving him water and the offer of food) and called Animal Control - sic SPCA (only took them 4 hours to respond)
Hopefully his owners will be sensible enough to call or visit the Humane Society. You could tell he was very jumpy at human hands coming near him... Quite a well mannered little guy though, responds well to commands, and very lovable (would have been tempted to keep him for a few days, but he's wayyy too interested in sowing his oats with my baby girl and would have been way too much trouble out of the crate).
