Mean cat

I am trying to convince my mom to sell or give away her cat. She's had her for almost a year and Chloe is straight from a horror movie. She fights with the dog, couch, table, drapes, remote control, shoes, sheets etc. There is no end to it. She is growing worse everytime I see her and the way she sits and looks at company.

She does not need attention because she get lots of that. My mom has bought her toys etc. but nothing helps. Ppl even avoid going to her house because of Chloe.

Anyone ever experience this? How did you deal with it?

That sounds like a tough one. I have no experience with loco cats but this one sure sounds like a handful!

Shelter cat? how old? Some cats (depending on history) just need time (lots of time)...

I adopted Cornelius at 1 1/2 yrs. and he was a total terror when I brought him home

On more than one occasion he's left a bloody trail on my arms
I have now had him for 3 years and he actually lets me pick him up (for about 30 sec.) and he just puurrrrrrrs

mad puss took about a year and a half to two years to settle down.

she still nuh like nobody touch her by her tail..or lower back.

and not 100% fond of kids or other cats....but she loves me

Beautiful. Look at them eyes.

Whats up with them taking so long to get used to their surroundings? I can't see Chloe getting any better as she seem to be getting worse with time.

You can't even get close enough to pet Chloe. The poor grandkids don't even know what happened when she growls at them.

Cornelius is a handsome little fellow... him look quite a mild contended kitty and not a fur ball terrorist.

i doubt that anyone would buy a(non-pedigree) cat, and if she gives it away to city shelter, they prob don't have a no kill policy.

some of the pvivate shelters ask that the animal be taken back to them if things dont work out...dunno if your mom has that option.

mi can tell u seh is a rare no-kill shelter weh won't kill an agressive crazy puss caw dem cannot adopt dem out

since dem cyaan live wid nuhbaddy and dem likely naw go try too hard fi rehabilitate dem tru dem have so much puss inna di system ...

The last cat I had, had a nervous problem and developed a skin sensitivity -rash you could not really see... she'd run like mad throughout the apartment, up the furniture, around the walls, bouncing off stuff .... has your mom taken the puss to a vet? Even an ear infection can cause an animal to act aggressive.

You right bout that. Mom thinks that if she give Chloe over to the shelter dem will kill her.

She fraid her but is very protective.
