Duppy a ride him?????

So this morning I was in the shower and Tango started barking. Now this is quite unusual as He is not a yappy kinda dude and this bark was like he was barking at someone/something.

So there I was in the shower and my first thought was that someone had come in the house

so I think... should I get out and confront the intruder

Then I think.... maybe it's he likes to pop in unannounced

Meanwhile the dog is still barking

So I finish my shower and towel off and then go investigate.

Tango is standing in the kitchen barking at the pantry door that is partly open


Conculsion..... DUPPY inna mi house

Ya know....later I could find some fun duppy dog stories. Some do say that animals can see another dimension that we cannot. And that when they leave us they are not really gone far, just in that dimension.

Don't you just love it when you're in the shower wondering if someone came in the house? NOT!

One day when Mika was still an only child we were in my bed. (This was very soon after my mother's death).

Suddenly she jumped up and started barking furiously at the foot of the bed. There was nothing there, but she was doing that frantic run to me and then the foot of the bed, as if to say "get it Mommy."

Then all of a sudden she stopped and made a mad dash for the headboard, plastered herself as close to it as she could and started to tremble violently and still looking fixated at the same spot. I tried to take her in my arms and comfort her, and she LEPT out of my arms to return to her spot at headboard trembling, and still looking at the spot.

I could only conclude that it was my Mom.

More than one of my cats has also exhibited this "strange" behavior
In fact, Cornelius just did this last night

he will stand on his two hind legs against a particular spot on the wall and reach up with his front paws as far up the wall as possible (always an outer wall too) and just start yowling like crazy ... no matter what I say or do he won't stop until he's good and ready

I saw a really funny cartoon that relates to this stuff.

Two dogs are sitting next to a little old lady knitting in her rocking chair and one dog says to the other:
"Wanna have some fun? Watch me.... growling and bristling I'm gonna go over and stand in front of the closet door for five minutes."
