lost pets

just got back from taking woody for a poo. saw a sign "lost rabbit. white and black with a red bell around his neck". seriously who loses a rabbit? do you let it out to graze and it wanders away?

also seen "lost canary". do people let them out for a walk/fly?

A lost dog or domesticated cat has a chance at being recovered than does a rabbit and a bird! I imagine the rabbit is a child's pet. I'm thinking it will prolly love it's new found freedom! People loose birds all the time. The only recipe needed for a free bird is to let it loose in the house out of it's cage and an open door! I used to have my parrot loose in the house all the time but not near the door. Hopefully the lost ones can be recovered before the cold weather hits!

if dogs and cats are microchipped they can be returned relatively east. i understand you on the bird thing.

you know I may get that for Clancy.

My mother does not pay attention to details very well. We moved the mailbox to the garage area so she would stop letting clancy escape outside..

Well yesterday I drove up my street only to see Clancy prancing about on my front lawn! Thanks Mom!! \o/

Do it Kia! If for some chance he goes roaming the chip will help you get him back. Another scenario is if your dog went roaming and someone took him in and tried to keep him. You could prove he is yours. I'd think a Standard Poodle would be a prize dog napping victim!
