when i was little we had di moast spoilest dawg. he could crap on the carpet but could i? i don't even want to tell you if i did that. bloody dawg have alla him own shampoo, towel and perfume. all i had was linda soap. soh mi teef smaddy dawg. how come unnuh noh tell mi bout grooming tools and grooming skillz fi prevent shedding?

joke..me nuh know how them shave dog, but me know them do it....maybe him just need a good professional shampoo and brush out?

they have some chains in the US called Pet Smart where they do grooming, maybe if they have something similar in canada u can try it.. Let them groom once learn what they do and you can manage the rest

if your dog is a major shedder then brushing really helps.

I feel your pain!!!! I know exactly what you are dealing with as those hairy breeds come into the grooming shop a lot! I do not envy you that part of your beautiful boy.

You can try a furminator. The cheapest place I know of to get them is at Amazon. The grooming shops will use them on these type of coats and I have seen the clumps of hair that comes off.

I don't think you'll want to do much home bathing as you can do more harm than good but you will want to research your grooming shops BEFORE leaving your boy with one! Make use of Google and people's reviews. There are some BAD places out there.

And the only other thing I can offer as far as advice is to buy a GOOD vacuum. Such as a Dyson or one of the other better ones. You need a heavy duty cleaner for that kind of hair unless you want to buy a lesser one every time you turn around! Sears makes some nice ones for around 300.00 too.

there's a drive throo grooming *basin* in my area. let it be noted that my area is extremely &quot;being gentrified* sketchy area. so that drive throo may just be a city incentitive designed for the hookers.


i don't know about shaving as i once cut the hair above bruno the poodles's eyes and other just dogs laughed at him.

i just did it again. went to petvalu and got some gears. i love doing it and he likes it too. all i have to say is &quot;aw, woody&quot; and he lays down.

i think i can see why perpetually single people have pets or love animals

I usually take dogs to the &quot;spa&quot; twice a year. They act differently when they get out....like they feel a lot better, ....but then the first thing my male dog would do was go look for a pile of horse manure to roll in.

So much for the cinderella-type fairy tale.

OMG!!! they're beauties. i once found a ginger domestic long hair. i have pics of mi old auntie with it. she doted on the thing. she called him &quot;Tiny&quot; even though she fed it near to death.

she had kept it wrapped in a pillow case, in the freezer along with the half side of angus beef for mussi three months.

all mi du is put it in di back seat and drive it to a dumpster in one of the govvament house dem and dash ie weh.


had to share. story brings tears to my eyes to this day.
