i don't likem

a certain smaddy thinks woody needs one.

k. woody weighs practically what i weigh. he's a big summavitch. but i think choke collars are nasty.

he (honestly) doesn't pull me as much as him pull dat smaddy. i don't know what to do. he's now my big goofy dog and i abhor the tho't of a choke chain.

sound like dat smaddy is in the Alpha dog when it come to walking.

What about a gentle leader? They won't pull as much and it does not choke the dog.

Why and How the Gentle Leader Headcollar Works

First of all, the Gentle Leader headcollar is NOT a muzzle. When fitted properly, your dog is free to open his mouth to eat, drink, pant, fetch, bark and even bite - except when you close his mouth by pulling on the leash.

The Gentle Leader headcollar features two soft nylon straps - the collar portion fits high at the top of the neck, and the nose loop fits loosely and comfortably across the base of the muzzle. Each strap has a distinct and important effect.

The Nose Loop - Dogs are naturally &quot;pack&quot; animals with a highly structured social order. Gentle leaders are wonderful! Choke collars do have their purpose, when used properly. The problem is, most people do not know how to use them or even put one on correctly. If used properly the last thing they do is choke a dog.

I think you would love a gentle leader for Woody!

However, nothing takes the place of training a dog to lead properly.
