A week or so ago I fell in love..

Several Persian cats were seized from someone's home and placed in rescue and a few of them ended up not far from me. I met 4 of them, and one was a small cream color silver tipped female that looks to be 5 or 6 months old.

I was NOT looking for another kitteh.

I repeat, was NOT looking.

But...she has a very sweet temperament and it was love at first snuggle.

I am getting her next week and will call her Paloma. Paris and Paloma are sure to hit it off as Paris just loves my Tango.

Paloma will be getting spayed the day I get her then I will pick her up and bond with her while she recuperates...

I'm so excited!

I can't believe! I have to save my pennies she is expensive! But she will have all of her vet work done so basically I'm paying it all at once.

I have been shopping for her. Tango has a cat door, so I have never had a litter box for him. Well, Paloma is not going to be allowed out in the woods with that Persian hair of hers so it's kitty box time. I will probably have to close up the cat door as well, I don't want Tango to teach her the way out and show her the woods and picker bushes.

I found a nice kitty litter box with a hole in the top, and the rest is covered. This is perfect as anyone who has both cats AND dogs, can attest that dogs find kitty poop very entertaining.

Anyway, we're already talking about Persian hair do's for her for summer.

Yes, I love the lion cut! I'll be able to keep the sanitary trim up myself but I'm thinking lion cut with small heart shaped puffs on her hips, maybe even pink ones.

Not right away though, she has to heal from her surgery and settle in first. All the while I'll get her used to the grooming table and nail trimming so she will be a pleasure for the grooming shop to trim when it's time and not a wild mad puss like some I have seen.

I love the lion trim look. I will go for more of a jacket on Paloma though and only her rear shaved from her chest back.

Well, she is here! Paloma as spayed yesterday and came home with me last night...

It is going OK so far, it will be a long adjustment to living here as well as recovery from her surgery so we're just taking it slow.
