I am thinking of doing the id micro chip for little Alex. Unsure of how safe this is and wondering if anyone else has done this and if there were any problems. Thanks Keesha

Re: id micro chip in dogs
DO IT!
I can think of 1001 or more reasons why TO DO IT!!!!
I am even getting my kitten chipped...
Case in point:
My Rosebud is a rescue. Where she came from is anyone's guess. At the shelter they combed newspapers and want ads looking for a possible happy ending, but alas...she was not chipped so there was no sure way to figure out her beginnings.
Rosebud was obedience trained to a TEE. Not just a beginners class, but advanced. Her manners are impeccable. She was even spayed.
The amount of money spent on her had to be a LOT.
A guy walked into the shelter with her and said "I'm afraid she might bite someone"...
There is NO WAY this guy had any knowledge of this dog! NO WAY!!! This man did not train her, or know her so HOW DID HE END UP WITH HER???
Was she stolen from out of my area? That is one possibility
The only other possibility I can think if is that her owner passed away.
Rosebud was NOT raised by a man, I can say this and be 100% confident.
If only my girl had a microchip...
I wonder often is there is someone out there just brokenhearted as can be, wondering what ever happened to their beloved Dobergirl?
Keesha, run, don't walk, and get this done.
