I know two Toy Manchester Terriers very well and see them usually more than once a week.
Whatcha wanna know?
Manchesters were involved in the development of the MinPin, and I have a LOT of Terrier/prey drive prevelant in my dogs which I attribute soley to the Manchester's... Manchester's are very cool dogs, seem somewhat aloof (as per my experience with the "toys"and more of a "owner love" kind of breed. They do warm up to folks once they know them and they have a strong prey drive.
It's a Terrier thing, and to be expected. And, I only personally know of the Toy ones. I have never offically known a standard one. The toys seem wussy in cold weather.
Anyway, if you google search them, sadly...the link to the American Manchester Terrier Club does not come in first place. Disappointing at best, because there is no better start on searching breed characteristics than a breed club official site.
So now come tell we...is Barney walking through life displaying these traits? Funny. I sometimes get a chuckle at what breeds people put together

Barney is suspicous of strangers. But he does warm up.
He is always chasing lizards around the yard (high prey drive)
I'll have to post some photos to see what you think.
But, the Pei is definately there too (Blue tomgue, a few wrinkles, VERY protectve)
When people hear him barking at the door they are expecting a 60 lb Pit or big old rottie. Then they see the 30 odd pound guy.
