Mina Paris Rosie & Sadie

We all had a blast in the pasture this morning! Mina is Paris's Champion Mom. Mina has never seen a horse before and today Paris got to show her mom a slice of "farm poodle" life. It was big fun and we just might do it again tomorrow!

Mina meets her first horse. Mina, meet Sadie...



They were fast friends, and Sadie was interest in the fluffy black dog. She had never seen anything quite like Mina before!



Sadie decided it was a whole lot of fun having company in the pasture so she started to gallop around and put on a show for her visitor...



Sadie got their attention! Sadie decides to have a good roll in the snow...



Her canine friends are amazed!

The steed stands proud...meanwhile, the Dobergirl and the poodles circle her.



Paris can cover an amazing amount of ground when she does what we call the &quot;Poodle Zoom&quot;



Mina is having a great time on her visit to the farm, and everyone takes off running. Rose stays closer to me, and trots along all regal like....she is 11 now so getting a little slower...



PARIS THE FLYING POODLE !!! See, dogs do fly, and Paris is always eager to demonstrate!

Once we made it back up to the yard, Sadie decided she wanted to put on one more show. She ran towards me like thunder, spun around and kicked her heels in the air! Waaaay too close for comfort, but I trusted her not to hurt me.



Tonight is Paris bath night...later alligators...

Kia, the poodles can come in any colors within the litter. Some are more dominant than others and I haven't spent any time researching color genetics as I don't plan to ever breed poodles. Her breeder may at some point decide to breed her, though. In Paris's litter there were a couple of creams and silver and black.

Paris has a black as coal daddy! I should look around and see if I can find a pic of Jonnas online, as he is a finished Champion as well. Her grandfather, who was a Best In Show winner, was white or cream. I loved that dog a whole lot, he was not only gorgeous but a real sweetheart and Paris reminds me of him a LOT. I used to babysit him from when he was a baby, all through his life. His name was Danny.

Thanks Keesha! The horse belongs to a friend and lives with me, much to my delight and the black poodle belongs to another friend. Rosie fell on hard times this winter and I almost lost her (food merry go round thread), but she is gaining weight and looking so great now! I still use talcum powder on her back while the last of the itchies heals though, as you can see it in the pics. Bath time for her tomorrow, or maybe even tonight if I finish Paris early enough!

Thanks Rivers and Rootise! It was big fun and we just might do it again tomorrow.

I am happy to report that Sadie's mom said she looks better coming though this harsh winter we just experienced than she ever has looked in Spring before! I was pleased to hear it, as I have worked hard to take good care of her. When the winter hair comes off, she will be shiny and round, just what we like to see.

Paris is is the bathtub air drying a little bit, which will make the blower drying faster. Still, it will be nothing like the 5 to 6 hour sessions I experienced when Paris had her show coat. (<span style="font-style: italic"><span style="font-size: 8pt">I still can't believe I did that</span>!</span>)

Paris reminds me soooooooo much of my BELOVED BEETHOVAN who is in PET HEAVEN, except he was a MINI..

Everytime I see Paris, I smile and think of him.. Miss my DOGGIBOY sooo much

Hey Chitown, JAmerican Ooman, and Jazzy, welcome to my world!

We went for another pasture attempt this morning but it was glare ice, so not safe for any one of us! Then, in the afternoon it is all turning to water with the big melting we have going on. I guess I will be happy we got the chance!

I took about 70 pics yesterday, so I will have to review the card again and see if there was any more worth sharing. I left a lot out thinking I might get another chance to shoot.
