OMG, that dog looks so cute sleeping. there's a harlequin in my nabe. beautiful dogs. they're not supposed to be very bright tho. short life span of about 9 yrs.

yeah I heard that too about their short life span....love looking at them....and some other dogs.....even though am not a dog person and have dogs but dem is yawd dogs for protection and to alert us to dem other four legged critters wey me live a bush....

What a fun thread! I love the gentle giants. Mastiffs are very cool dogs, I know someone who breeds them. My heart goes thumpity thump thump every time I see a Dane. I have owned 3, all were rescues and none of them lived past 7 & 8. That's when I moved on to the Dobes back in 1974. Danes are awesome creatures.
