my dawta texted me that Hickstead died today. collapsed and died after doing a round in a competition in Italy. totally shocking and sad.
for those who follow Canadian show-jumping, Hickstead and his rider Eric Lamaze were superstars, gold medal winners for Canada in the last Olympics. They were among the country's biggest medal hopes for the 2012.
