Some sort of shrew or mole. [img]/forums/images/graemlins/frown.gif[/img] 3 dead plants already already and tunnels all through my yard and garden. [img]/forums/images/graemlins/70394-bawlout.gif[/img] [img]/forums/images/graemlins/70394-bawlout.gif[/img] [img]/forums/images/graemlins/70394-bawlout.gif[/img] [img]/forums/images/graemlins/70394-bawlout.gif[/img]

What can I do? I have tried just about every product from Home Depot.

My cat takes care of the shrew problem, maybe you could set some traps. gross I know, that's why I have the cat, but it will help.

I have similar problems right now with deer and rabbit making my gardens a challenge sometimes! You CAN get humane traps and try moving the critters, just take a drive and set them free, but they might just be able to find their way back.

Intent to murder, well yes, I guess...

To me it's preferable to having your hard work destroyed in a single feeding or two.

One thing I haven't researched (since I have the fat cat), would be to find out what plants are repulsive to the rodents, or possible an environmentally sound repellant. For some critters dried blood works but rodents for the most part, require inhilation I'm afraid, with the most difficult part in choosing which route to take. Or, possibly Rootsies idea, that would be awesome! I used to bring a dog to work to rid the place of mice, occasionally!

We always thought milky spore got rid of the moles.. Milky spore gets rid of the moles' food source then the mole goes elsewhere.

milky spore is used to rid japanese beetles....and is very very expensive.

try throwing mothballs down in the holes...might repel them.

if they throw them back...RUN!

Loops I dont think it was that expensive.. I believe we paid about $25 for a big bag.[img]/forums/images/graemlins/70402-thinking.gif[/img]. It kills the grubs and beetles that the moles eat, so if the moles need food they go elsewhere no?
