HI HOme improvement forum readers....long time since I have ventured down this way. Sad too...cause I am smack dab in the middle of a HUGE home improvement.

Hubby and I are going through a huge add on and remodel of our house.

Ok...the first thing I wanted was a bigger Kitchen...

heres why...



Very small kitchen...hardly any counter space...

Here it is under way, getting a whole new kitchen...



The wall with the window will soon be gone...JUST LIKE THIS!!

That fan is actually sitting in what WAS the kitchen doorway...



we ripped out the whole back wall of the house and added a family room off the back to make a big GREAT ROOM! [img]/forums/images/graemlins/bannana_purple.gif[/img]

With the family room add on comes an office, a new master bedroom andbathroom WITH soaker tub [img]/forums/images/graemlins/bannana_purple.gif[/img]

Heres the view from the back yard...PRE-remodel



Heres the same view with the deck ripped off and the shed gone.



Walls UP!



ROOF on and Windows and doors in!



The part that sticks our farther with the single french door is our new master suite...it has a huge bathroom, big walk in closet...and its own door that will lead out on to the deck...where we will hopefully be able to put a hot tub if there is an money left over [img]/forums/images/graemlins/rolleyes.gif[/img] [img]/forums/images/graemlins/70384-praying.gif[/img]

Goodness, Mrs Ochi, you don't waste any time, huh? I have lived in my place over two years now and have designs on a bigger kitchen, etc....

looks good there mrs Ochigal.. we are winding down on our project and if girlKia did not take the camera to take pictures of herself in the sandbox(\o/)I would have pics to share of our progress.

What will we do with all this room??? Well...for one...I married a PACK RAT...he keeps EVERYTHING...well not everything...but close.

Plus Kyle is approaching teenage-status...so I am hoping with a big house with lots of cool stuff...that he will want to hang out there with his freinds rather than somewhere else.

In addition to the add on...we are converting our current garage into a game room that will have a pool table, dart board, TV etc...hopeing that this will be the place where all the kids want to hang...and I will know where they are! [img]/forums/images/graemlins/70384-praying.gif[/img]

Other than that...the office will be used for me to start to grow my business and hopefully be able to quit this 9-5 job that I no longer like... [img]/forums/images/graemlins/70374-lipsrsealed.gif[/img]

Our big master suite will be our refuge...we are newlyweds ya know! [img]/forums/images/graemlins/70377-loveeyes.gif[/img]

And then theres the parties...I LOVE TO ENTERTAIN and so does hubby. So we will have lots of parties...if everything goes as scheduled our first one will be a combo housewarming/Christmas party. [img]/forums/images/graemlins/bannana_purple.gif[/img] [img]/forums/images/graemlins/bannana_purple.gif[/img] Ya-all are invited too...SORRY SEVEEN... no oxtail though. [img]/forums/images/graemlins/frown.gif[/img]

Well our contractor told us to expect it to take about 90 days. They started on August 24. So with that in mind we would expect to be in around the end of November....but I am shooting for Early December just to allow for any unforseen problems. As long as we are settled in for Christmas I will be happy. [img]/forums/images/graemlins/grin.gif[/img]
