Canna tubers galore!

Anyone interested in planting Cannas/Tropicannas in their garden next year? I'm overwhelmed with Canna tubers and calling it quits in digging them up...mi have enough Canna fi stone dawg. Cannas are a very vibrant plant and go well in a tropical garden theme...these grow up to 5' tall. If you're interested, let me know and I'll take care of the packaging and postage.

I love Cannas, had a prety one that I kept in a pot and brought indoors till I left it out one night too long. I think it's too cold to mail them up here now though, darn!

me have some planted, but some never even bloomed...(fiesty [img]/forums/images/graemlins/blush.gif[/img])
and some did...
but me spend lots pon cannas dis year, cus in the past, not even *one* bloomed ever, ever, ever..

haki...think I responded to you. Over the past years I've gotten plants from folks at no extra cost, except the joy of receiving. It's no problem for me but if you want to reimburse that is okay too.

don't you need to dig them up in the fall and replant them in the spring in your climate? Did you do that Sue...and still lost them?

Pepper, my experience has been very little care beyond planting the tubers in humus soil in full sun and regular watering. I've also planted in clay soil and at the edge of the pond and those grow and bloom, but they do not grow as tall as the ones in a looser soil. Here's some info...

this year, I planted dem in compost..

in years past, me plant inna me soil (clayey) and nutten no happen to dem, not even one soh, soh bloom.. [img]/forums/images/graemlins/blush.gif[/img]
