Re: Fake Fireplaces...
I was looking at the ones fed by "gel pacs"??? I was in the local Home Depot and saw them. It would look quite nice in the space that I have sitting empty. My house runs on electric only. Didnt want the gas one (that requires work) and the electric I thought would run up the bill.

why? that is the question. why would you want a fake fireplace? who are you trying to fool? when you guests arrive they'll think you actually have a roaring fire in there as they sip their mulled wine?

Re: Fake Fireplaces...
My neighbor purchased one a couple of months ago from QVC - I think qvc.com is their website. It looks really good; she has a HUGE bedroom and she wanted one for a spare corner. We had a cold spell a couple of weeks ago, and she said it worked great! It runs using these little gel type fuel canisters. I think the price was around $400 for the fireplace and delivery.
