Sorry, I meant to edit to clarify but didn't get around to it. My concern is with the inside edges. I had some repainting done recently and have noticed a bit of edge chipping. Maybe this is a part of minor maintenance that have to be done from time to time, but I'm just curious if there was a way to prevent it from happening; some kind of transparent tape maybe? Re: Wall Edges...
Hhhhm. If I am understanding you correctly, it sounds like improper preparation to me. Was this new wallboard? Or at least a freshly patched (drywall compound/spackle/plaster) area? Was there water damage in the are? There should be no need for anything like what you are suggesting. How long ago was it, and do you have a contract/guarantee? Any chance of photo(s)?

Hopefully the pic below captures the 'problem' (this was a repainting job done a couple months ago).

Re: Wall Edges...
Thanks, RichD. I vaguely recall hearing about something like that. There's a Home Depot in my neck of the woods so I'll check with them. From what I understand, it is not an uncommon problem.aka ChurchDude. I want that moniker back! Until then....
