Any help on best ways to store comforters and blankets? I have too many and very little space to store them. I thought of those "vacuum space saver bags", but read some not too good reviews on them. Any suggestions?

Re: Storing comforters and blankets
i was going to recommend the vacuum space saver bags & then maybe also putting them into a storage bin so as the air enters the space bag it will still be somewhat compressed.
would it also be possible to scale down on the number of comforters & blankets. Ie get one very good comforter per bed that is lightweight & does the job and donate the rest?
(same issue mi a go thru here too)If you don't fight for what you deserve, you deserve what you get.

thanx sandi
I did see some in eopinions but it was for the samsonite ones? so I got a bit confused (its late for me) .. will check amazon as well.
I am thinking a quick vacuum & zip then placed into a storage container might hold them.If you don't fight for what you deserve, you deserve what you get.

Donate to a really good cause then?
How many do you really need? We have to store several sleeping bags because we camp so much but normal indoor bedding....a set per bed and an extra or tow for guests, that does it.

Re: Storing comforters and blankets
I have used the zipper storage bags with no problem. Sandi, one thing I do for "donating" is post on freecycle.org (find your local chapter. That way, at least you can meet who your things go to....even if you meet them somewhere (i.e., store parking lot) if you are uncomfortable with them coming to your house. I found this to be a very satisfying way to "share the wealth", so to speak. I have met some wonderful people this way, including my son's new preschool teacher!
