Clogged Sink(s)

Ok - I have TWO (not one but TWO) clogged bathroom sinks.

I have tried the baking soda and vinegar solution - and I’m not getting good results.

What else can I do?

first try removeing the little plug thing - the one that goes up and down to plaug the sink - if you have one...usually there is lots of gunk stuck to this. then clean out the trap( the little u bend in the drain)..its quite easy to remove.

i have been reading about a product called zip-it which is a long stick with barbs designed to pull the gunk out of the tub.

I have a similar issue with the kids bathtub will go to home depot/lowes today to see if I can find it

JahMamma - Thanks. I May have to try those - but I heard they were bad for the plumbing? ??? Anyone know?

If all your sinks is clogged up all at once that mean its time for you to call the pro.

The main pipe to the street may clogged up.

but why only two? ..why not the bath tubs as well as the kitcehn sink?

im betting its just gunk build up

You could check the elbow looking pipe under the sink by unscrew
them and check if its clogged up.

That could save you a lot of money if you it checking and cleaning them out your self.

The most common clog building up is at the elbow looking pipe under the sink. They are very easy to take apart and put back together.

I have not yet tackled it . . . mi slow - did not want the potential mess (yet).

Did buy some liquid plumber - and am going to try that first.
