Help - Wallpaper removal

I have the UGLIEST wall paper in ALL my bathrooms and nwo that I am home am trying to take it down myself. I am using water and fabric softener (hot water).

How long do you let it sit before it saturates adn how exactly do you knwo when it is saturated and how much time yuh fi spray di wall.

I am about to take a sledge to the walls and demo it cause mi patience is running out and mi nah call Misaa Marie for him a come chat fawt bout patience and a fram when mi laws ie an all nwo cyaan fine ie suh mi heng up pan him

Hi Marie! Well, before we go on, if these are baths, chances are good the ugly paper is vinyl or vinyl coated. Did you try peeling it off first? Fabric softener or any solution will have a hard time permeating that. Sometimes you can peel the top layer away, and use the softener or vinegar. Try that first, and let's see what happens. If that doesn't work, a paper tiger (just a few dollars at the hardware store) is a likely next step.

[img]/forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/frown.gif[/img] I learned the hard way GB the solution didn't penetrate it. I tried peeling but the paper came off and left the backing with the glue. I want to give up but I can't because there are patches of wall paper missing in one of the bathrooms

Okay, see now that the top layer with the vinyl is off, you will have a much easier time of it. Sorry you went to that effort already. It won't take long now, and you will be so happy! DO NOT use a paper tiger now. Will it help if you post some photos, before during and after, and we can cheer you on?

Marie get a scorer and score the wallpaper. Then spray with Dif Gel. It worked wonders for me. After thatg you use a scraper to help peel and remove the old wallpaper. After that if you have any adhesive left on the wall you can use more gel and a sponge to wipe it clean.

oh dear lawd mi sarry fi yuh, mi know it going to be uncomfortable. Mek sure yuh charge rent suh yuh can offset the expenses (dat way yuh will have a likkle extra money roun tax time fi run weh).

What is Dif Gel? My daughter wants to do her bathroom. Lots of wallpaper with 10 ft ceilings. Never head of Dif Gel [img]/forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/70402-thinking.gif[/img]

It's a gel solution you spray on to help dissolve the wallpaper adhesive. You can find it at Home Depot or Lowe's.

I have the red and blue and the red one seems to work better. Don't know why. I didn't intentionally buy two dem was out of the blue and I bought the red suh now mi going to return all the other blue ones I have and will get the red
