Anyone know how to clean out a garbage disposal and make it smell better?

Run water, put lemon pieces in, run disposal with water AND lemon in there (I never run my disposal without water running anyway).

I would do exactly that. Then, after a bit, dump a goodly amount of baking soda in there, and let it sit, at least overnight if not longer. Then water, etc. Rinse, repeat. [img]/forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/wink.gif[/img]

or they have in Linen n things some little yellow balls called plink. put one in deh an watch it.

Home Depot sells cleaners too.

And stop putting things down in the disposal...dat will clog it up after a while an mek it shut off...disposal is really fi catch the things that the likkle drain basket couldn't catch but mi si ppl dump things in there all di while.

Yes mother no more sticking stuff down there that don't belong!!
