I’ve got an idea! If anyone would like to join me - thought it would be fun, interesting and informative to post as many DIFFERENT types of flowers as we could in this thread.

Allamanda (otherwise known as Buttercups). As a child, there was a yard on Lawrence Avenue that had beautiful Allamandas growing. I usually love picking the yellow flowers and filling them with water to sip from.


Allamanda is a genus of tropical shrubs or vines with hairy seeds, native to South and Central America and the Caribbean regions. Their year-round production of large, bright flowers have made the Allamanda popular ornamentals. Allamanda belongs to the dogbane family (Apocynaceae).
