Re: Anyone in Ontario try grow SunFlowers?
Just a thought reggaegirl...not that I know anything about growing things. However, when my son was younger, he did an experiment for school that involved growing peas in 2 different eco-systems to test the effects of salinization. To get the peas started, he put them in between paper towels (and watered them daily untiil they started to sprout). Then he planted them and they grew well. It took NUFF water to get them to sprout and many days. I don't think just wetting them overnight will do the trick.

My daughter just did this for science class at school. We soaked red kidney beans overnight, and then put them in a wet paper towel in a cup...they sprouted in 2 days, then grew stems and leaves in about 7 days!!

Just don't leave them in water and forget about them, as it can ruin the seeds, too. Overnight works well. </div></div>
Tanks GD, will do just that
