loops, thanks for the lead on that plant - i'll keep an eye on it.

those lambs ears are actually a little gross -who knew they'd grow so massive, and the slightest pressure from rain or garden hose and them flop down and spread out like ladies of the night. I know the flowers are nothing much, but i notice some bees on them the other day, so i let them be. i transplanted this set from the backyard, and in the backyard i notice they're growing in the lawn, too.

my shrub rose is suffering this year. got infected early with gawdeenoze what, and no matter how much i picked off the infected buds, the new ones came up same way - covered with black spots and cobweb. last year this time the plant was full of blooms, but it barely squeezing out any this year. yes I think Hostas make wonderful borders too and would sure hide the liner!

Ok so I went and googled slugs and using beer will work but that sounds gross cause you gotta pour them out, YUK, I can't even think about that, lol...

Nanook, doll, it was grubs I had, not slugs. [img]/forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/704555_dwl.gif[/img] although i have to say my slug problem this year is minimal compared to last year when they nyammed off most of my marigolds.

thanks, nanook. that site is right about grubs attracting animals. i get skunk and raccoons regularly in the backyard cause a them grubs.

the backyard is my next priority, and i'm really hoping i won't have to use chemicals to get rid of the grubs, but that seems to be the most effective solution.

hi, kia - i'm a horrible procrastinator, unfortunately. a from last year mi mean fi replace the pea gravel with white marble.

not to mention mi lose one bag sakea di skunk. It burrow under one of sheds inna mi backyard, and mi seh mi a go stop up the entry with a di bag a white marble. blasted skunk pop di bag and mi expensive stone drop dung di skunk hole.
