Ideas for the wall behind the toilet

I am painting the guest bathroom..

There were wood shelves on the wall behind the toilet but I took those down to paint and don't want them any longer..

Any ideas for what to put on the wall behind the toilet? if anything?

The small bathroom will be painted a natural sage-sort-of colored green.. goin for a spa like retreat feel.

a picture - pressed flowers or leaves with the same green

or one of those spa like towel racks with the luscious towels and some special bath salts and a candle

I like the idea of the spa like rack [img]/forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/70409-waytogo.gif[/img] I think the wall is kind of narrow so the picture would have to be really slim..

something with bamboo and other natural elements.. perhaps a collage of natural grasses?

In my last house, I had a cabinet over the toilet (it was there when we moved in). There was some wallspace underneath, and after I wallpapered, I hung a small decorative mirror that looked like a compass or something. It was more frame than mirrow, really - just a mirrow backing. Anyway, I got some complaints from the various men in my life, husband, family, friends....apparently it was hung at just the right height.....

This is a funny thread! I have a window above the toilet in my entryway. Come to think of it there is a window above the toliet in my bedroom too! Main bathroom is under construction but I will start a next thread for that. I wouldn't think a cupboard is a good thing to put above a toilet. Stuff can fall out of it and land in the drink. Well..unless ya leave the cover closed.

OK...men guests = magazine rack. Or find a smaller shelf and out the magazines on that. That's my answer and I'm stickin to it! Might as well put a mini TV in there for them too!

The guys didn't like the cabinet either....it stuck out too far, and they all hit there head on it....some badly....&lt;confused&gt; I guess they were bending to flush??

I forgot to add...

Long ago in days of old I used to have to clean the bathrooms in an advertising agency. never in my life did I see so much pigsty stuff and I swear that I will starve before I will ever do that again.

Which leads me to some observations...there was one stall where there was ALWAYS hand prints on the wall! I never have been able to figure out what's up with that! Men have some very weird bathroom habits I guess. Maybe you coud paint two hand prints on the wall above the toilet, heheh
