flower arrangements

looking for a nice , possibly artifical flower arrangement for my kitchen table.
Just had de kitchen totally gutted and put in from scratch and now I am looking for accessories..
expecially a tall flower arrangement for the glass dining table.
help me noh with ideas if u can.

in my estimation.. artificial flowers never really look good..
when i want something to last a long while.. i choose flowers that dry and look great.... there are so many that do that... even when people use certain limbs.. that have great shapes.. that look like sculpture.. you see that in all the flower markets.....................

next to dried flowers.. or or limbs.. a bowl of fruit looks nice.. like a bowl of lemons.. or oranges...

one other thing possibley. would be to get an orchid for the table.... pot it in something nice, with moss around it.. i had one on my table for months..... if you take good care of it .. it can last and last.....

Hey 7's! If you get a chance check out your local farmers market! My local one has several people who do dried flowers and they are beautifully arranged!

Or you can stop at the florist they will have artifical
designs made up or look in their books and pick out what you would like them to make for you.

one year i went out after a hard frost & picked lots of tall dead weeds...i took them home & sprayed them with some kind of a clear acrylic, no gloss....put them in a pottery vase & kept them for years. before i became a grey person, i was a beige person, so the browns went really well.

this arrangement woulkd be nice and pretty if dried, but I really dont want to deal with falling leaves etc..
this arrangement really is for a center piece on a kitchen dining room table.
Looking for something tall and elegant.

7's there are tons of dried flowers that do not fall on the table and drop things....... honest... and i promise they will look way more elegant than any artificial arrangement..... do your homework...... im sure you can buy different things and put them together......

yesterday at my korean market.. i saw several things that would have made a great dried bouquet for winter..... i may go back and get a few of this and that and create it.....

although i keep fresh flowers in my house all year... im lucky with my market.. there is always something..... and its reasonable.. i think of it as part of my groceries

Sevens, even your local craft store such as Michaels has a nice dried section. Lots of tall stately things - check it out. If you were closer, I would make you one.

did go to AC moore yesterday. they are having a huge sale on glass pots, and I purchased several to try my hand at flower arranging. ... [img]/forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/bannana_purple.gif[/img]
I even bought a book on flower arranging, because being honest, I couldnt beleive the prices on the already arranged flowers that they sell.. [img]/forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/70374-lipsrsealed.gif[/img]
I went over to Michaels. they have awonderful array of elegant picture frames on sale. thats all I saw there, as I saw dat dem nuff christmus flowers, and is not dat me want/looking for.....
