New dining room table

yesterday, me a go look fe a one dat me want to put inna me new kitchen.
Yes, me kitchen dun..
Had it gutted down to the studs, rewired, new floor, new appliances and put back again..
Finnally, it dun Wed, and ask me if a noh happy.. [img]/forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/70390-shhh.gif[/img]
Four long months, without a stove is a very loong time, fe a family dat love dem belly...
I had to buy a two hot plates and cook after two months, of no homecooking..got tyiad of take out... [img]/forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/grin.gif[/img]

This kitchen is bigger dan the first kitchen and it can hold all four of us cooking/working in der at once.. [img]/forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/70371-jump.gif[/img]
Now the problem is that me looking fe a round dining room table, and me search and search yesterday, and all me find is sets dat looking like it going to fall apart..
A looking fe sinting sturdy..fe when me daughter drop har bookbag pon it, and ting..but at the same time, it must look elegant and regal..

Round dining tables

Thomasville has one where the expansion leaves go around the circumference of the table creating a larger round table as opposed to an oval when expanded.

actually, I went to this little furniture store close by me yard, and I purchased something similar to dat dis...
This one have a heavy duty metal back (gotta be strong fe de lass one.. [img]/forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/70390-shhh.gif[/img] but a not too sure bout the bookbag flinging, if it can handle dat.... [img]/forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/grin.gif[/img])
Its a glass top, something totally different for me, (outside of my comfort zone) but u know, I actually like it..
Its round, it very pretty, and it dont tek up a whole lot of space..

A went to Ashley furniture, and a couple of other stores, on Furniture Row, an saw some beautiful sets, but a wanted something different, and outside of me norm..
eventually bought a glass top, and a really, really, like it.

Yeah!...I'd like one of those too! Like maybe something with some storta hidden storage space built in where I could just sweep my arm across the table and everything that accumulated pon it could drop into. Then I wouldn't have to hear: "where are my keys,... glasses,hairties, mail,pepperspray,pills,inhailer,purse,suntan lotion,hairbrush,the phone # I set there last week".... yep, I was lucky, and i like what I choose.
It really took two days of looking, but once, I went to the little store round de carner, der it was. I knew this was going to be adequate..

I keep forgetting bout this store. the owner is Arab, and him love mek bargain u see. him nay mek u walk out without a sale. [img]/forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/70458-applaud.gif[/img]
Me looking fe a plasma fe de wall, and him seh, fe come back next month when de prices a go down..
